Description
The KEP Italia Cromo Shine 2.0 Wide Polo Visor Riding Helmet is the evolution of the Cromo helmet, designed and manufactured in Italy. Cromo 2.0 gives you access to additional customization options; including an innovative mechanical interlocking system that allows for the replacement of both the front and rear inserts, as well as the visor in a few simple steps. The Cromo 2.0 can use a regular visor, a wide visor, or attach a smooth seam to make your helmet a skullcap. The outer shell is lightweight and impact-resistant thanks to the polycarbonate in-molding design. The KEP air control system in Cromo 2.0 is enhanced with additional ventilation slits at the back. Take control over your airflow with the adjustable vent. Simply slide the KEP logo up to open the front vent, and slide it down to close the vents for colder riding days. The hand-stitched leather strap maintains a five-point attachment design for a more stable fit. The new padding, with improved comfort and breathability, is in soft fabric made from eco-green materials. Jockey visor provided; additional visor, liners, and insert options available for purchase.
Like the original Cromo helmet, the Cromo 2.0 has removable and washable liners, available in a variety of size options per shell. Get the perfect fit with no more icky, smelly helmets!
With a continued focus on safety, Cromo 2.0 has an integrated microchip, positioned under the front insert that allows you to upload your health details using the KEP app. In case of an emergency, this information can be provided to first responders and may help speed the provision of needed first aid. The flexible visor aids in minimizing the chance of the rider's head or neck reaching the ground at odd angles which can increase the risk of injury. The Cromo 2.0 is the first equestrian helmet to, also, be certified on asphalt for skateboards, skates, non-motor bikes, e-bikes, and scooters.

Cleaning:
KEP Italia helmets are supplied with a KEP CLEAN cloth, which is recommended for cleaning the helmet. For daily cleaning, use a damp KEP CLEAN (or any other soft, clean cloth) and leave the helmet to dry naturally at room temperature. The internal lining, made up of one fully detachable element, can be cold washed by hand or in the washing machine. Avoid the use of all chemical detergents or solvents, especially for the shell of the helmet.
Maintenance:
When not in use, it is best to store the helmet away from direct sunlight and from heat sources and it is recommended to replace it in its original packaging. Store the helmet in a position from which it is unlikely to fall to prevent the helmet from taking any avoidable knocks that may damage the helmet and reduce its protective capacity.
It is important to check your helmet often to ensure that there is no damage, such as cracks, detached parts, deformations, peeling or color alterations that may indicate significant deterioration of the helmet. Irrespective of any signs of deterioration, it is recommended to replace the helmet after 5 years because the protective capacity diminishes over time due to the aging of materials. The exact age of the helmet is indicated inside, under the lining, on a plate (not to be removed under any circumstances) which contains all the specific information for each helmet, including date of production.
If you come across cuts, scratches or any other type of damage, it is recommended that you contact KEP Italia to have the helmet examined before any further use. For safety reasons and to maintain conformity with certification, only the Italian headquarters of KEP Italia are authorized to dissemble, assemble, repair or replace the parts of the helmets. For the correct procedure for requesting the inspection, full check, repair or replacement of parts of a helmet, please refer to the retailer from whom the helmet was bought, who will set up all the procedures necessary.
